Best Digital Food Scale?

I'm looking into purchasing a higher functioning food scale- the one I currently use is a $5 plastic one from Target. Don't get me wrong, it does the job, I'd just like something a little more specific and functional. It's sometimes hard to read the dial on the spring set one - like I use.
So do you have a digital food scale, if so, what's the brand/type, and do you like it?
Can you reccomend a good one for me to look into?
Thank you!

I recently purchased a Starfrit digital food scale and absolutely love it, got it on sale too.

I don't know where you buy them in the states but here is a link from the Starfrit website with a pic: http://www.starfrit.com/Products/KITCHEN/KITCHEN GADGETS/Kitchen Scales/93016.aspx?sc_lang=en

    I use this one:

    http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Digital-Kitchen-Silver/dp/B001N07KUE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296832719&sr=8-1

It's an Eat Smart Precision Pro kitchen scale. It's digital with a LCD screen and weighs in grams, kg, ounces, and pounds (11 lb maximum). It has a ton of good reviews on Amazon and it's on sale for almost half off (it's $25.00 but normally $45). My only complaint about it is if you have a large plate on the scale then it is very hard to read the screen. So I usually use a small plate, tare the weight, and add whatever I need to add.

Edit - Oh yea...it comes in 5 different colors if that matters to you haha. And it's not huge so it won't take up a lot of space.

I have a Salter digital food scale. It was spendy though.
It comes recommended by the Canadian Diabetes Association.

I have a Myweigh scale that I love. I've had it for several years and it's never given me a problem. I usually use it on batteries but you can buy and adapter and plug it into the wall. Whatever you choose there are some things to look for.

    1. Most scales have a "Tare" button so you can zero the scale out after additions of ingredients. This is one of the most important features of a good scale so make sure whatever you get has one. Like I said, most have it.

    2. Make sure it can weigh in the mode you prefer. I most often weigh in ounces or grams but mine also has the ability to do kilograms and pounds with ounces. I do occasionally use this (especially if I'm repackaging a bulk pack of meat or something and want 1 pound packs.)

    3. Make sure the platform is a good size! Mine has a nice big square platform that I can put my dinner plate, blender jar, even my huge clay bowl that I use for rising my bread! I used to have a scale with a tiny little platform that was designed to hold their measuring bowl and not much else. Hated it! I love being able to put my dinner plate on there and zero the scale out between additions.

    4. Will you use it for anything else? I use mine in baking so the scale I chose has baker's percentages but most people won't need that feature.

    5. Mine I can switch between modes with a touch of a button in the middle of weighing. This is great because sometimes a food package will give the serving size in grams and sometimes it will be in ounces. I can switch back and forth in the middle of the weigh without shutting down or having to find some obscure switch.

    6. Easy clean! Mine is pretty easy to wipe down. There are no little hidden crevices and I got little plastic covers with it to cover the keypad. I'm messy so this is good! :)
