Exercise Ball

I am VERY limited in my exercise (back). I've been doing simple yoga and stretching every day. Doc said I can start using an exercise ball and gently add easy stretches as I get stronger. Used it for the first time tonite. My muscles are aching! Balance is something I didn't know was so incredibly demanding. Is anyone else very limited? Any additional ideas?

What about swimming or water aerobics? That is very low impact.

I ruptured a disc five years ago and struggled to find anything to help me exercise without pain. You won't believe what helped me the most: the Wii Fit balance board. I was able to go at my own pace and it helped me slowly improve my balace. I don't know the severity of your injury, but it might be worth borrowing a friend's to see if you don't have one.

Thanks for the thoughts. Going to check the Y and see when the pool is open. Also ask my friends to see if anyone has a Wii balance board. I'm going to run again someday... I just know it!
