Guilt While Eating?

So I've basically been on this 1200 calorie diet since the ending of Oct. My original motivation was a friend's wedding in January.
I'm very strict with what I put in my mouth. But I'm also realistic. So I don't do those 'no carb' diets because I like my rice (I'm puerto rican). Thing is that when I have my largest meal, which is usually dinner, I have this unsettling guilt. And it annoys me because yes I'm having rice and beans and chicken but I'm also having smaller portions and staying within my calories, so why don't I just allow myself to enjoy it?
Does anyone else feel guilty, even when they are not technically cheating? I mean, it doesn't have to be salads every day, right?
But then at the same time I feel that the guilt is a necessary evil and that it keeps me in check.

This happens to me all the time!!! Anytime I eat something that is not on my planned menu for the day, or if I go out and cheat I feeel so guilty afterwards!!! Even if I am within my daily calories and eat a "treat" like a protein bar, I feel guilty. You are not alone!!0

once I grabbed two cookies shoved one in my mouth chewed it up and right before I swallowed it felt so much guilt I put the other one up and spit the other in the trash, I had a flashback of all the hard work that I have achieved going down the drain for this crap food, so yes I know what you mean.0
