Reaching your calorie goal everyday is very important.

I have been on here for a little over a month now and I have lost about 17 pounds. There were plenty of times when I would just stop losing and plane out or gain a couple of pounds and then lose a pound. It was very frustrating. Then I started make absolutely sure that I was eating at least 1200 calories or more a day and working off the excess. I dropped 2 lbs like that so I think I am finally getting how this whole thing is supposed to work. Make sure you eat more than your goal of calories for the day everyday and your net calories equals close to what the site tells you. Your body won't go into starvation mode if you eat less than your goal but it does have a harder time burning up fat because there aren't any calories there to fuel it. I'm not an expert by any means but I hope this helps someone.

Just eat all the calories you are recommended to eat until your food diary balances out.
These explain way better than I ever could.
