I am finding that making catchy mottos seem to help me to be faithful to my diet. Here is one,
"Eat what you want, but WANT what you eat".
It sounds extreme but I am surprised at how many times that I think of eating when (1) I am not hungry (2) I wonder WHAT I can eat (3) I consider eating something that isn't even what I want.

My daughter told me that my 6 pack abs were being protected by my fat. My motto is ditch the fat get the pack.

I totally agree! When you equate you food choices to exercise....it can be a very great deterant....Sure eat the potato chis....but this is what you need to do to burn the extra calories!

I also use your motto when having Chocolate...I never just have a chocolate bars anymore, I will have a square or two of the expensive good stuff :P

Me too! I take a piece and put the rest away. I make myself let a small piece melt in my mouth and savor the flavor. How did I miss this decadent flavor before when they were popping into my mouth?

I like your food choices being connected to exercise. That's a killjoy. :-)

Another motto I have that I repeat when I exercise. "I ate, I ate & now I have to lose weight."
