Firming the muscle

Hi everyone. I hope some one can give me an idea of what to expect. I am not over weight but have been very inspired on this website to eat healthy and keep track of my food and exercise. I exercise 5-6 days a week for about an hour to Bob Harper's Inside out Method DVD's. Some times i do his 30 minute DVD in the same set on days i am short for time.It is cardio and a lot of lunges, squats pushups, planks with your own body weight and some weights weighing 3-15 pounds, depending on your level. I have been doing this since January3rd. This is when i also started on this site! My question is.... When should i start to see results as in firming my bottom and abs? I feel a little in my thighs and a lot in my arms, but my arms are naturally a bit more toned then the rest of my body. I have actually lost weight and i know inches. But was really wanting to tone my body more. Am I expecting too much too soon? Do I need to do something different to tone? I just thought i would have seen more toning in my saddle bag area by now. Maybe just too impatient?? I would appreciate any advice or help i can get. Thank you.

i also do his dvds! i have the cardio and super strength pure burn one. the cardio one does have a lot of squat type moves in there but is mainly cardio. You may notice some toning after awhile but I would suggest getting his pure burn super strength one. that one is more specific with toning and you would probably get and notice better results if your wanting to mainly tone and sculpt as that one is more focused on that but it also keeps your heartrate up as well so you should still burn fat as well with that one! Im sure it just takes time and if your a lil more patient and stick with it, you will notice more but def get his strength one cause im guessing you will see more tone and sculpting definition with that one!! or do both of em!! thats what i do :)

a couple other good tone/sculpt dvds that are good are the jillian michaels no more trouble zones (targets all areas of the body) and jackie werner extreme timesaver training is also really good! it is a cardio & strength training combined in one 30min workout. I just recently got that one and Its pretty good! I def have felt the burn ;)
  • Hey thanks. I do do both of them too. But have been doing the cardio more. But i think you are right. I think what i will do is the strength dvd more. When did you start to see your toning results?
  • I just bought the jackie warner video but haven't tried it yet. I also just bought today a couple of Tae Bo videos. Thought maybe i could get muscles like Billy Blanks!! haha!!
