it's so hot right now where i live... (Queensland, Australia) and I'm really struggling to eat the calories I need. I just don't feel like eating at all. I find it gets to around 4 in the afternoon and i realise I've had only water and maybe a green tea. i usually have a protein shake as soon as i realise and manage to eat a good dinner once the sun goes down. any sugestions?

I have found that too, im from Sydney and this past week with 40+ plus days have been screwing around with me, I find I am eating a lot of cold fruit but that puts me over on sugars. I am trying just to eat what i can and avoid heavy foods, (lots of vitawheats with vegemite!)

How about a big salad? Might sound a bit boring, but think about all those cool, refreshing veggies - cucumber, tomato, carrot, capsicum, celery - YUM!!

Eat in the morning/evening when it's coolest, go somewhere air conditioned to eat - shopping centre, restaurant, eat a bar or protein shake at the gym after the work out, graze during the day rather than eat a full meal, and drink plenty of water or drink your calories - juice, milk shakes or even ice cream!!
  • thanks everyone for your input, the weather has cooled and my appetite has returned :)
