i am a 32 year old teacher, mother, and wife. I have two degenerate discs in my lower back. I have tried pain medication, the chiropractor, and recently just had two injections in my spine. Yesterday I was getting dressed and BAM my back went out again. I was wondering if anyone else had this same trou le? I feel very bummed out because I just decided to loose my girth, and have been doing great, and then this happens. Any advice or ideas would be great!

I did not mention that I have 33 pounds to lose. My exercise of choice is walking at home, my stationary bike and also swimming twice a week at the local YMCA. However right not I cannot walk let alone exercise. Feeling discouraged any ideas or treatments that have worked for you would be great to read!

I have off and on lower back problems because my core muscles are weak and I'm over weight. Last year when my back went out my doctor referred me to physical therapy. I had been to a chiropractor for the issue in the months before that but the problem kept reoccurring. I went to some PT sessions and I loved the approach they took with me. My issue was that my pelvis was out of alignment and my sacral illiac joint (the one that connects the pelvis to the spine) was out of wack. He gave me home exercises and taught me how to do an alignment myself at home for my pelvis. I went to about 4-5 sessions of PT and haven't had to go back in over a year. I occasionally re align my pelvis by doing the exercises he taught me and I'm working on losing the weight and strengthening my core muscles. So you may want to try physical therapy and see if you gain any new knowledge or ideas that you didn't learn from the chiropractor. They are both good resources but have different approaches. I like getting the combo of both.
Hope you feel better and find out how to fix and rid yourself of the pain.:flowerforyou:
