yes it does! tells your heart rate, length of the workout, calories burned, and few other things too :]

i got one from walmart for 47.99 well got 2 one for me and one for wife it has a chest strap and we both love ours

I bought a POLAR FT40 about 2 weeks ago and it is amazing. I love it. The strap is super comfy and the watch is easy to use. Comes with a website that tracks your workout stats, and calories burnt as well. I have also heard that the POLAR F7 is really good. The best price that I found was on amazon

I love my Polar FT4! Bought it from a sporting goods store for about $85. Worth every penny in my opinion! Which ever way you go, just make sure you get one with a watch and chest strap...the chest strap really makes a difference!

I had a Polar F7 and really liked it. I now use a Garmin 405cx...mostly for running and biking and I really like it. It's a bit bulky but not too bad. I think either one would be good, you just need to figure out if you need course (gps) capabilities.

I have a Polar FT7 it's great the difference between that and a FT4 is that it stores more training sessions data.

Definitely get one with a chest strap for most accurate results.
