Peanut Butter Apple pie smoothie

1/2 cup skim or 1% Milk
6-8 oz low fat vanilla yogurt
1 medium apple cored and chopped
2 Tbsp peanut butter
A dash of cinnamon
A dash of nutmeg
A handful of ice (optional)


Core and chop your apple.
Add all ingredients to your blender
Blend for one minute

This is 430 calories!

    FYI: You could save some calories and fat by using PB2 powdered peanut butter instead. Just saying :)

    Sounds so yummy! I have a vita mix so I don't peel the fruit. More nutrients!

    If you wanted to you could also share this with a friend to cut calories. Another option is to only use 1 tablespoon of peanut butter.

    The program I am on encourages you to eat unsaturated fats, hence the peanut butter. Reason being that those are healthy fats. I actually find I am quite full with peanut butter, so I'm not craving other snacks. I eat 3 meals and a snack, at about 400 calories each. On a day that I have this smoothie, I would consider it a meal and simply eat a few less calories at another meal.
