which meal should i chose for my flight?

Hi guys,
i'm sick of leaving a long flight feeling blaoted and terrible after consuming too many bread rolls and saying yes to every stewardess that passes with chips, bread rolls and unlimited packets of peanuts.
So, i'm chosing a veggie meal and i'm going to bring my own snacks on board.
But, there are SO many veggie meals to chose from, and frankly i'm not even sure what they mean, but here are the option:
01) AVML - Indian veg
02) VOML - Oriental veg
03) RVML - Raw veg
04) VGML - Veg meal (non -dairy)
05) VJML- Strict Indian veg (JAIN)
06) VLML - Veg meal (LACTO-OVO)
Errr... I'm thinking just the 06) the plain veggie one? Has anyone tried this? I know all airlines are different, but i'm just trying to pick a healthy chioce. Thanks

When the option is available, I always choose #4. I have some food allergies, along with trying to lose weight,and the raw fruits and veggies comes with a nice cup of yogurt (I'm always looking for some extra dairy since I don't eat enough of it). I'd be concerned with ANYTHING cooked on a plane... The quality isn't very good, and you don't know what they used to cook it with (i.e., butter, olive oil, fake chemical crap, etc.). Going raw is pretty safe.0

Hi! I fly a lot, and have had a bit of experience with veg meals, so I say go with number 6. The regular veg meal usually has some fresh fruit and salad on the side of the entree, which could be pasta, or eggs (omelet-ish) or rice w/veg of some sort. The fruit is often the substitute for the dessert portion of the standard meal, which sometimes leaves me eying the person's meal across from me! lol But Jains (05) don't eat any eggs or root vegetables such as garlic, onions, carrots, potatoes. Dairy can be included - but the meal you's get with that option... oh no...! (My husband's family is Jain, and Jain cooking can be very good, but NOT on an airplane.) It's sort of the same situation with the other options too - it's like they are too specific of meal requests, and the airline food people just don't know what to include with them, so you end up with weird, not so good stuff that you wish you hadn't asked for in the first place! I haven't had the (02) Oriental, and it sounds temping, but really I think you'd be better off finding a real "oriental" restaurant after you land and also, I fear the risk of too much sodium with that option... So yeah, go with the lacto-ovo veg.0

Personally I'd go for number 1 Indian Veg. I've had that option a few times on flights to & from India & it's always been v good. Or you could ask if a fruit plate could be substituted for the meal, I've done that too & it was very refreshing & healthy.0
