Ok, so I did 45 minutes on treadmill at a level 8 incline and 3.5 mph--thing said I burned 895 calories--MFP said I burned 825 calories! My HRM stopped working because of the wireless.

SO.................. anyone use a treadmill all the time that can give me an estimate of what they ACTUALLY burn (with their weight and age) so I can figure out if I REALLY burned up anywhere close to that amount?

BTW, I'm 45 and 243

When I use the treadmill - I alternate between 4-12 incline, and in one hour I will burn about 400-500 calories (at 3.5 mph). I weigh 138 and am 30 years old - so your numbers could be reasonable. Does your treadmill ask you to input your weight?

Anyways, I always tend to log in fewer calories than what the machines tell me - better to under estimate than over estimate calories burned, IMHO

 it is probably close....600-700 calories.....great job.....try bringing the incline down so you don't have to hang on....you'll burn calories (that won't be calculated in the treadmills results) by pumping your arms to keep up with the speed and the incline....

GREAT JOB!! And if I know people might be watching me workout...it is motivation to work a little harder.......
