This thread is one in which a new fitness and dietary challenge is posted each week. We also post our weigh-in numbers for the week on Monday (when the challenges actually start). Lets keep this rolling!

Here are the challenges/format to post for this week: (ANY one can join in at ANY time!)

FITNESS CHALLENGE:
Add an EXTRA 30 minutes of exercise to your weekly regimine. For example: go an extra 10 minutes on the treadmill than you normally would, walk instead of driving, etc.

DIETARY CHALLENGE:
Consume at least 5 servings of fruits/vegetables each day.

    I'm not really upset with this gain. I started P90 last week and was told that I should expect a gain the first few weeks b/c my muscles will be retaining water. I sure know they're doing SOMETHING cause they're sore as I DON'T KNOW WHAT! :noway:

    I'm up for this one...and hoping to do better on fruits and veggies than last time around!

    Also, I'm currently coming back from injury, so I dropped my exercise goals to 30 minutes a day...anything over that for me would be extra and great!

    I would love to join your group if it's not too late. I joined this site a week ago today & have been trying to join a group, but they seem to fill up so quickly I don't make it. My goal this week was to get more exercise, so this will be perfect. I don't know how to post extra exercise since I'm just starting and everything I do would be extra.

    Wasn't able to do last week's challenge. However, I'm in for this one! Wonder how I'll manage 5 servings of fruits & veggies a day with a husband who prefers non-veg all the time :ohwell:

    No extra minutes for me today. In fact no minutes. I don't know if I have food poisioning or flu but I can't seem to hold any food or water in today. That's what I get for eating so much junk on Superbowl Sunday. Anyway, taking the day off to recouperate and hopefully get back to it tomorrow. Also considering starting a 30 day diet suggestion fromTony Horton's "Bring It". The suggestions are veggie and fruit packed so it will fit in good with this challenge.

    Feb 7th Day #1 Yesterday, I had a pear, tangerine, wrap with lettuce & tomato...also, ate some french fries that came with the wrap
    ...............................makes 5 if you count the fries

    No exercise, rest day

    Did you get your veggies on????

    Did 10 extra minutes of circuit training to meet challenge goal today. I'm sure those ten minutes were what pushed me to the losing side of the scale this week when I weighed in for my Biggest Loser contest this morning. Thanks "Challenge Group". I only lost 0.8 pounds this week but I most likely would have gained if I didn't exercise BEFORE I went to work this morning.

    I had completely forgotten about the 5 veggie/fruit servings but remembered the extra 10 mins of workout that I planned to add today :laugh:

    Now, I not only have to plan the 5 servings as I haven't had 1 yet, I also have to manage to get to the gym even if it is to just get in my workout minus the extra 10 mins. Unexpectedly have friends coming over for dinner tonight. So much to do, so little time :grumble:
