Old injuries flaring up??

Hi! So I'm just starting the fifth week of my eight week running program- I'm working up to running twenty minutes at a time. Right now I'm running 3 sets of eight to nine minutes with one minute of walking in between. I sprained my ankle pretty badly twice in the fall, and now I'm finding that the more intense my workouts get, the more sore the ligaments in my ankle are afterwords. It stinks, because I'm really starting to get in shape, and I'm really enjoying the runs!

What's the best way to deal with old injuries getting irritated by running? Should I ice it after I run? Can I wrap it? Help! =(
