Did you weigh yourself at the same time on both days? Also, did you consume a lot of sodium? I notice that when I have a day or two high in sodium I can easily add about 2 lbs to my weight just from the retention.

I have to start by saying... It happens.

Daily weigh-ins can be very deceiving as our bodies adjust to the amount of sodium and liquids we consume in teh prior day, not to mention the regularity of our.... movements.

Daily weight can fluctuate dramatically based on the time of day or whether of not last night you ate nachos with teh super bowl and decided to jump on the scale this morning without your body being able to flush out the salt. Just remember it takes about 3500 calories to gain or lose a pound - you likely did not consume in excess of 17500 calories in a day...

Breathe - you will level out. It is best to weight MAX once a week and at the same time in the same attire each time.

sodium intake wate retention. if you worked out really hard and your body isn't used to it then you may be retaining water in your muscles. weighing in a different times of day (weigh right after waking up and going to the bathroom but before you eat.
