the 1/2 i'm doing is September 14th in chicago. You really only need to be able to run 2 miles and have 12 weeks....there are online schedules to follow
    YOU CAN DO IT!

Oh, I'll do it. I'll be the biggest, whiniest baby ever afterwards, but I'll do it.

love it! are you for real?

I think so. My daughter is going to be at my in-laws all next week (    ) so I'll have plenty of time to run.

Planning on trying a 9-mile run sometime this weekend.

I ran 3.5 last night, haven't made it out today. Supposed to be stuck at work until 9 but I am really hoping to get out a little earlier so I can go run before I head home.

Started week 6 of Couch to 5K last night. Building up to 25 minutes straight at the end of the week. I'll keep ya updated!

    Yah you!! Congrats!! 19.gif

You are soooooo close to your first 5K!! Have you looked into a race yet? you should find a local one and sign up for motivation!

There's one in September that I'm planning on doing. My friend asked me to do it with her and got me started. Then she got sick with a really bad cold and has to start all over again. So, hopefully she will be able to stick with it this time and we can run together in Sept. like we planned. I'm gonna use the time between when the Couch to 5K is done and the actual 5K to improve time and endurance.

There's one in July for our 4-H fair, but I'd rather run my first one on a cooler morning in September than on a typically blazing hot July afternoon!

Well..managed to do a 10k tonight, but boy was I SLUG-GISH!!! :grumble: To be honest I probably walked a 1/2 mile of it. :explode:

For all of you who regularly run in hot weather, I tip my hat to it. It stinks!!!!
