HRM=better way to judge your calorie burn, then guessing... Such as I wear mine at home doing a 30 day Shred video, and burn like 250 calories doing it.. There is no website that can tell you what you burned doing that.. It is set to your height and weight and your heart rate.. Good thing to have ...0

There is a long drawn out formula that you could use to figure out your calories burned. I pulled this straight from Livestrong.com
The Journal of Sports Sciences provides a calorie expenditure formula for each gender. Men use the following formula: Calories Burned = [(Age x 0.2017) -- (Weight x 0.09036) + (Heart Rate x 0.6309) -- 55.0969] x Time / 4.184. Women use the following formula: Calories Burned = [(Age x 0.074) -- (Weight x 0.05741) + (Heart Rate x 0.4472) -- 20.4022] x Time / 4.184.0
