Ok I am hearing so much about strength training and weights. I do like weights and believe in them 100%, however, what exactly is strength training? I do the machines that target different parts of the body in the gym. And how many times a week should I be doing weights with my cardio?

strength training is resistance training, free weights, machines, aquatic. I'm sure there's other types.

Strength training should ideally be done 2-3 days a week assuming you do a full body workout. You could strength train every day - just don't use the same muscle group 2 days in a row. If you do arms today - skip tomorrow. This gives your muscles time to rest and repair and thus grow nice and strong!0
