Unexpected left over calories

So, I didn't intend for this to happen, but I ended up working out harder today than usual and burned close to 500 calories in my little 30 minute circuit training. Then my friend called and I ended up walking his dog for him. All in all, almost 800 calories burned. Needless to say, even though I have been eating and am not skipping meals, I am pretty much done eating dinner and have a little over 1,000 calories left over for the day! :noway: Didn't expect that one...
I even had not so great foods today: chocolate chip cookie during lunch, a mini pack of M & M's from work, lasagna and a breadstick during lunch...quite a bit. So, what do you think I should do? I know everyone says to eat your exercise calories but it's close to 9pm here and I am trying to not eat too much past 8pm because of blood sugars and such. Anything would help!
Thanks

I have the same problem everyday. I just end up stuffing my face right before bed. I'm still losing though so I guess it's not too bad.:ohwell: :ohwell: :ohwell:0

Are you feeling hungry? I would have a little something just so there isn't such a big gap in your calories.

Screw it! I had some strawberries, and I'm having that 3 Musketeers bar running around my apartment! I still won't be remotely close to going over my fat intake, calories, carbs, or protein, but it will get me a bit closer and I have that candy around here for a reason :drinker:0

I read a post a few weeks ago that suggested a big glass of chocolate milk...sounded like a great idea to me!!
Happy eating!

I think that chocolate milk might have been me. It's usually my yummy, safe, sweet (but not overly) backup, but wouldn't still be enough to push me over except it would make my protein too high if I have my usual 2 cup serving (did I mention I love milk)?0

I will take them off your hands. I don't know why I thought I could bake cupcakes for work tomorrow and not eat 2, (I had to make sure they tasted right) I am about 600 over. I didnt work out, but I guess I am actually still under 2000 which is my neither gain or lose, but I feel gross now...red velvet and carrot cke cupcakes yummy...0

Give them to Walnut...she's having rubarb pie today... ::sigh:: I so want that now!!!0

I had over 600 calories left last night and treated myself to a peanut butter and honey sandwich on honey wheat bread and a glass of 1% milk. It is my new favorite snack when I have a lot of calories left. All together I ate 360 in the sandwich and 110 in the milk. I felt full, got something sweet, and ate all my exercise calories!0

Yeah, I've got an extra 1300+ of rhubarb pie to burn... wanna trade? :bigsmile:0

I think the occassional WAY under your calorie level is OK. Your metabolism cannot settle into starvation mode in one day ...
Speaking of calories left over... I wish I had some brownies around... I have 500 calries to kill and brownies sound so good...0
