it's just today is too hectic a day for me . all the kids are home and there's no way i can squeeze in a workout. i need advice and encouragement. am i going to gain another pound and a half today?

Weight can fluctuate a LOT just day to day. If you ate something salty yesterday, that could account for 1 1/2 lbs of water weight. If you can't squeeze in a workout today, just watch your salt intake, make sure you stick with your calories, and exercise tomorrow. You'll be fine. We're right here if you need us, and I don't think your 1 1/2 pound is permanent. :flowerforyou:

its most probably water .. i do that sometimes over a few days and then it plummets again..
strangely tho... i often find my wieght loss is after a rest days ....sometimes this all makes no sense

yep iojoi is right. For you to gain 1.5 lbs of ACTUAL weight would mean you'd
have to eat 5250 calories OVER YOUR MAINTENANCE calories. That's a LOT
    of food.

More likely you had a meal with a bit extra sodium and retained more water then usual.

I wouldn't worry about it. if you weigh the 1.5 more after 10 days or so, then you can count
it as real, but you need to give yourself a 5 lb up and down (yes, that's a total of a 10 lb cushion) window. Because the body can hold water, or waste for days, and lots of it. You can't count that because it's not a reflection on overall health generally.

When I cant work out at the gym- I so some jumping jacks, tricep dips on a chair and knee pushups. and abs. It gives me a little energy and makes me feel like I am doing something. The triceps dips are great during commercials and abs too!

Just get back on track tomorrow and you'll be totally fine.
