I hate to ask...I think I ask to much about meals sometimes on here! But I try looking stuff up, and nothing ever fits what I'm looking for (usually its either super expensive, or its high calorie and low whatever I'm looking for (be it fat, sodium, sugar etc))...oh or really BORING....like grilled chicken over rice...

I've been able to find quite a bit of low calorie meals that I really like, but the sodium is almost always pretty high.

Anyone have any suggestions for meals I can make to feed the whole family that's low cal and low sodium? You know that's not just chicken over rice, or salad ....which seems to be the popular choices on the web. :o(

Feel free to look through my diary - it's public. I am really good at staying under on sodium and my family (including my 8 year old son) loves my cooking - and, since I've been under on calories for around 130 days straight, they're usually pretty low calorie, too.
I usually post the individual ingredients but if it's a specific recipe (like my chicken soup) and you want it, let me know and I'll give it to you.

You can look through my diary as well. I rarely eat processed foods, we cook for ourselves. Since my kids are still little enough to eat their own foods I usually keep it simple when I make dinner myself. I like either chicken breast or steak, a steamed vegetable (like broccoli) and a roasted potato. I use a lot of herbs and spices to keep things a little more interesting. And I have a Vitamix blender so most days I end making a soup in it for either lunch or dinner.

Things are going to change for me though. I'm giving up meat and switching to soy products until I get pregnant. I'm hoping the phytoestrogens in the soy and the lack of meat will increase my chances of having twins, or at least another girl. (I was vegetarian when I had my daughter, I ate tons of steak when I had my son.) So lots of soy, beans and eggs for me for then next three months!

@CoryIda, I need to adjust to eating more whole foods. Like whole fruits or veggies with my meals. I've still not worked up to that yet. lol I love looking at your diary, you always have such good foods!
