Ruler with a stomach????

Until I had my kids I had what they call a ruler shape - straight up and down with a hint of curve . After the babes, I continue to carry weight around my back tummy and arms. I'm starting to think I'm an apple but my mid section is smaller than my chest and hips. My legs are always the first to tone; but this upper body weight is at at standstill. Are there any rulers shape women out there and if so what are your suggestions regarding exercises and nutrition? I know you can't do spot reduction but something has to work. Thanks in advance.

There no such thing as spot reduction when you're trying to reduce fat. THe only way to spotlight your tummy is to do core work with pilates or crunches or yoga. Stomach fat is the absolute hardest to work off so that means lots and lots of cardio.
And just to ease your mind, if your tummy circumference is smaller than your chest and hips, you are not an apple.0
