Is it better to be under in calories or should I try to eat/drink them? Some days I am under and sometimes over (still learning here). So when I am under should I eat/drink more to be closer to goal? Some days I am hungrier then others, like yesterday I wanted to eat all day.

I think you need to listen to your body- but most importantly I think that any calorie should be good! Too often I see people logging their calories and coming just under goal, but its not good food---candy, fast food, tons of processed carbs. Just make it good wholesome food to meet your goals if you are under, its not the end of the world.

I think you want to be pretty close to your calorie goal, but if you're a little under it's ok. My goal is a little over 1300 a day and I make sure I get at least 1200... and on workout days I eat more than that, depending on what I did at the gym. Going a tad over won't hurt, but it may slow you down if you do it often. I find it pretty easy to stay under now that I'm doing it consistently. I try hard to track BEFORE I put something in my mouth. That way, if it's over, I know not to pick it up... or to run an extra mile if I can't live without it!!!

    Good luck!

If you are not trying to create a large calorie deficit, try to eat foods that will get you near your goal.

If any of the foods have nutrition labels, read them and pay attention to the listing for "calories from fat".

Low cal, low carb and low fat are all important but you may not need to do all 3 at once.

If your SW was 239 and your CW is 228, you're definitely doing something right !

Keep up the good work !!
