How do I make this work?

So I have been on here for some time and I lost some weight, then gained it back. Now I am at an impass where It seems that I'm just falling back into my old ways. I've made up my mind that I want to change and I have set in in my heart, but it seems like my stomach takes over when I am around food and I eat anything and everything that I want to. When I do I get this feeling of guilt. I feel like I should just go and make myself puke everything that I ate back up. I don't know what I am doing wrong here everyone..

Let's analyze. What did you do to lose the weight the first time around? Did you change things up when you started gaining again?0

I don't know you, so this is judged clearly off of what you've shared with us. I believe you may have a severe eating disorder. Have you ever gone to a doctor and explained your impulsive eating? Maybe look into Overeaters Anonymous support groups as well as they may help you, I know they've helped a few friends of mine who've had binge and purge problems as well. You can get past this, don't give up on yourself, you just need to figure out why you emotionally eat the food that is around you. Maybe try logging the calories before eating the item will help you decide if it's worth it or not. Best of luck.0

Making yourself sick is definitely not the answer. Yes, I think things need to be analyzed as another poster said. I think in order for you, or anyone for that matter, to be successful, you have to be in the mindset that this is a forever lifestyle change if you're to succeed.
Moderation, measure, portion, etc. become part of the new vocabulary. If you're around food, ask yourself if you're really hungry or just want to eat because it's there. Grab a glass of water. Find something else to do for about 15-20 minutes. If you're still hungry, then get something healthy.
Probably the most important thing is to be prepared and plan ahead for the day.
I wish you the best. If you want support, feel free to add me.0
