MFP CRUISE...............!!!!

So I was thinking for a while now that we all should meet up after we lost some or all of our weight and go on a CRUISE.....!!!! Cruises are pretty cheap and it is a way we can all meet each other and still support each other to lose the remaining weight or to maintain the current weight loss.
It would be so Fun...!!! lol Even with myself not losing my weight, it would still be awesome to be around skinny people who has lost alot of weight. Just because they can understand you more than someone who was never fat or struggled with their weight.
So who thinks we would be totally cool.......Orrrrr......instead of a cruise we can all meetup in Vegas or Miami......Or wherever!! I dont care.........lol:laugh: :drinker:   :smokin: :glasses: :flowerforyou:

Or Next New Years we can all meet up in New York..... for new years.....0

Great idea, but cruises are NOT cheap (unless you're looking somewhere I'm not). Cruises are $500-$800 per person. That's pretty expensive to me. Not that I don't love cruises.0

This would give us all a great goal to work for.....hummm0

I'll be in Vegas in December for the Rock n Roll marathon and half marathon. Cruises are cool, but I can do without NY.0

its only like 200 to 300 a person if you get 4 people and cram into a porthole room the week i went on the cruise i was only in the room like 2 hours a night0 -
We could always just make a plan, lay it all out, make a flash presentation, videos of our success and love for my fitness pal, and SUGGEST that MFP set up a cruise event that would be great for its users, as well be great for publicity.
Maybe they could get backing from the health communities and make it like an educational cruise too, with some presentations and lessons on the cruise. I guess kinda like cruise to lose, maybe... I dont know anything about that actually. Also since they are a credible service on the internet, that they might have some kind of pull to be able to get a huge group discount with a cruise line and can book people directly to join the cruise on the website. All the advertising will get other people who want to change their lives to join the site and cruise too.
I think its a good idea. Lets do it. lol0 -
Dont Carnival cruises leave people stranded... or was that another company?? :-X
I think it would be fun!! YAY!0 -
It would be doubly exspensive for me!....need to get flight to US and then cruise $'s. Sounds like a great idea and if I lived in the States would be up for it!0

You can usually get on a carnival 3-4 day cruise for around 300/pp with 2 in a room if you set a date that isn't a holiday0
-
Well yeah I guess they are kinda pricey.....lol We dont have any kids yets, so maybe that is one reason that it is doable for me.....
Plus cruises are cheaper during the fall time. But shoot if you have a year to save for a cruise.....And once the cruise is paid for the only thing you gotta pay for is tips and soda, unless you play in the casino. But then if you have to travel to a port......
Well ....its not impossible!! Yeah but i was thinking the same thing with New York, it will be cold there!! I hate cold weather!! Hmmm.....All the wome that will be coming alone .....We can all chip in together on a presidential suite in Vegas!! Then go watch the Thunder from down Under!!! Lmao.........0 -
Stephy that sounds Awesome.......!!! Your in charge of that!!!! Man those are some great ideas!!!0
-
I'm interested! just not NY though, esp at New Year (large crowds make me nervous)0

wow that would be so cool0 -
Sounds GREAT to me! If we squeeze enough people into a stateroom the cost goes way down. I've never been on a cruise and this would be a wonderful reason to go, not that I need a reason. Miami also sounds terrific. Guess I'd have to get a bathing suit....hmmm...
Let's pursue this. What a brainstorm! :laugh:0 -
Haha that sounds like it would be fun! But it would cost me over US$1000 because I'd have to buy a plane ticket first0
-
I'd love to do something like this! Been wondering myself how we could get everyone together lol!0

Yeah the portholes can have 3-4 people in them.......lol If its too crowded I will go sleep by the pool....!! lol0 -
Well, it seems to me that the folks in charge of MFP could probably contact one of the cruiselines... and make it a promotion from within this website... they could charter the boat (of course then we'd buy our tickets to cover those charges) then theycould ask some key speakers to come and do a motivational whatever... they could have success story q & a... different workout themes on different decks so we can all get our style of workout in with a trainer perhaps to relight our fires or show us a new way... or to try something completely new and out of your comfort zone!
This is not out of the realm of possibilites! And think, if we each brought 1 non MFP, how many would be new found supporters!!??0 -

How about an all inclusive resort?0 -
Well you know for the people that might be a little harder to come up with the money.....that it dont have to be anytime soon. It could be next summer. And If MFP came up with something that they can do, Im sure it would take some time anyways for it to be all figured and worked out.
But even if you cant seem to get the money together in a year or whatever......This should be somthing that MFP should continue to do. Not just a one time deal. And Im sure not everyone can do every single trip all the time, so therefore it is good to keep having them from time to time.
And for the people who are not in the U.S ...then maybe you can set up something in your area, whatever is convenient for you. Or just wait till you can go to one.
But i Love this idea. Myself I wouldnt even care if it was a handfull of people.....:bigsmile:0 -
FANTASTIC IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

I'm innnnnnn.0

Count me in! Cruises are so much fun!0
