Stinking up the Gym!

This is just a note for that person with the exceptionally rank body odor at the gym. I fully understand if you don't want to bother showering before your workout. Why would you, when you're just going to get all sweaty? That's not a problem. Just please, please slap on a little deodorant or something beforehand. I realize that a gym is a place that people go to work hard and sweat a lot. It's not going to smell like a rose garden. But when your cloud of funk is so overpowering that it's messing up people's workouts because it's hard to breath within a ten foot radius of you, it's maybe time to consider giving your pits a quick scrub. Or maybe it was because you've been wearing the same sweaty shirt all week long. Please, give everybody a break and wash the darn thing already! A little consideration for the nostrils of those around you is all I'm asking for. Thank you.

Oh my, I needed this today!
And to the person that passes gas while on the treadmill, elliptical, stepper, and/or bike please don't do it. Go away and in to the hall or bathroom or somewhere else that is NOT occupied by others. Ugh.
Ok, all done. Thanks.0 -

I was in the grocery store one time and this guy smelled so bad you could smell him from 5 aisles away. It was absolutely wretched. He didn't seem to have any shame - but them I remembered some people actually have a condition that causes them to smell horrible no matter how many showers or deodorant they use. You never know what the cause might be.
It's way easier just to assume people are that rude though. (Honestly - they probably are)0 -
HEY! I wear the same gym clothes all the time! lol. I have to wash them everyday, mind you. Or everyother if the workout was unusually light the day before with a lot less sweat.

AMEN!
That is why I don't go to the gym! I always seem to get stuck next to someone who needs serious odor control.
Although, to be perfectly honest, I also blame the gym ownership! They should be policing that. When it's an uncomfortable environment to work out in, they need to fix that.
You should have to sign some sort of agreement when you start a gym membership that talks about stuff like washing your gym clothes, deodorant and "bad air". I volunteer in a grief group for young kids and we have a "volcano room" where they can go ballistic and one of our rules is that you can't process "bad air" in the room because it's sooooo small and so many people are in there at a time--and that includes farting and burping!0 -
