GET THE KIDS INVOLVED

I HAVE 2 VERY ACTIVE KIDS. THEY LOVE CANDY AND SNACKING AND SODAS AND ALL THE JUNK FOOD. WE DO NOT KEEP THAT STUFF AT HOME, BUT ONCE IN A WHILE THEY GET A TREAT. MY SON IS 12 AND HE IS A JR BLACK BELT IN KARATE, AN ORANGE BELT IN JIT JITSU, TRAINS IN MAUY THAI (SPELLIN?) AND HE WRESTLES IN SCHOOL. WRESTLING IS 2 HOURS A DAY AND MARTIAL ARTS IS 1-2 HOUR A DAY. HE IS LEARNING ABOUT EATING RIGHT AND THEY ARE STUDING IT IN SCHOOL. HE IS STARTING TO SEE HOW DIFFERENT FOODS WORK WITH HIS BODY. MY DAUGHTER IS 3 AND LOVES CHOC ANYTHING. SHE LOVES SWEETS. SHE IS BECOMING A VEGGIE GIRL. WE CALL BROCCOLI TREES AND PEAS ARE TURTLE HEADS. SOME HOW IT MAKES THE VEGGIES TASTE BETTER. I MAKE SURE SHE GETS OUT AND PLAYS OR RIDES HER BIKE. SHE GOES TO THE GYM WITH ME AND PLAYS FOR 1.5 HOURS A DAY. THEY HAVE A GREAT JUNGLE GYM FOR THEM THERE. BUT, LAST NIGHT WE WENT TO DINNER AND SAY A BOY WHO WAS MAYBE 8, HE WAS TOO BIG FOR THE BOOTH. HIS PARENTS LET HIM EAT A TOWER OF ONION RINGS AND A BIG PLATE OF NACHOS. HE HAD TO HAVE AT LEAST 3 GLASSES OF SODA. TO TOP IT ALL OFF, HE HAD DESSERT TOO. HIS LITTLE BROTHER WAS AVERAGE SIZE, DAD WAS PRETTY AVERAGE, AND MOM WAS HEAVY. WE REALLY NEED TO EDUCATE OUT KIDS AND LOVED ONES SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO STRUGGLE WITH THEIR WEIGHT. I DON'T WANT MY KIDS TO BE STARED AT OR EMBARRASSED. STARTING THE PROPER DIETS NOW IS THEY WAY TO HELP THEM STAY HEALTHY. SORRY FOR GOING ON AND ON. BUT SEEING THAT BOY REALLY UPSET ME, AND I REALLY NOTICE THINGS LIKE THIS MORE BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO CHANGE MY LIFE. LIFE IS TOO SHORT AS IT IS. FAST FOOD IS BECOMING PARENTS EASY FIX FOR DINNER. AND IT IS AFFECTING OUR KIDS. IT'S TIME TO CHANGE

    kids need love not food. Well maybe a little. Nuts and berries yay that should do it. You go mom your kids don't know it yet but their lucky to have you.
