Good mornin' y'all!! Happy Thursday!
Through all of the encouraging words and just pure love and support from my husband and all of you on here, yesterday was the easiest day thus far! I even made supper with out feeling that pull for a beer or glass of wine while I cooked or ate. After my husband finally got home from work (:grumble: damn inspections :grumble: ) I was pretty damn proud of myself! Usually when he works late is when I grab for the Cap'n and Coke to pass the time. Instead, I was cooking and cleaning....teaching the cat to attack the light switches....and messing around on MFP. (the main pic is me in a Humvee! hehe)
We ate, cleaned up the kitchen (he helped without me asking ) then went for a walk and talked. It's nice to get away from the TV and the comp and really reconnect. Once we came home, he made himself his night cap (of which I am still incredibly proud of him for!) and we bounced back and fourth between So You Think You Can Dance and SuperNanny (which we affectionatly call birth control ). Once in bed, chatted some more about our days and what the rest of the week holds for us (he has promised a spa day to me . Guess all those neck rubs will really pay off! hehe). He asked if his night cap was making it harder for me and I could truthfully tell him 'No'. I haven't had a craving since Tuesday night, and even that one went away pretty quickly.
It's been a pretty good week, and I feel very blessed. I've realised how often we will complain about our jobs and our bosses and other annoyances in our lives....but when you get right down to the nitty gritty, we have it damn good and we can make it through anything life throws our way.
God bless, y'all! Have a great day!
