I have lost 20 pounds so far, most of it with the help of this site an the people on it with me. But I have had very little change in my measurements. I am down a full size in pants, but the measurement has barely moved. Any suggestions on why this is happening? - Thanks

  • I am by no means an expert, but the fat may be disappearing from other areas, and not just your waistline. You may be losing it from your thighs and arms quicker than your waist. It's great to hear you're down a full pants size!

If you are down a size in pants size then your measurements have changed. I understand that you have to lose approximately 12 lbs. to decrease one size.

Hmm... you must be down a good amount, if you've gone down a pant size! You might just lose from one area initially, and I'm sure you will hear that you can't "spot" reduce. I say congrats on the pant size, and know that if you keep at it the rest of your body will start to melt away, too! That's actually a big change--there was a gal who posted earlier that had lost 30lbs and still no change in dress/pant size yet!

Personally, my body plays catch up. I'll be down 10 pounds, then two weeks later the inches catch up. Weird, but good just the same.
