This Saturday my fiance and I are going to run a 5K but it will be outside. We have been training inside. We live in Michigan, so it's usually very chilly in February. This Saturday is supposed to a be a warm 24 degrees (sarcasm). Does anyone have any tips for us so we don't injure ourselves or help us keep a good time out there?

I run outside in the cold and like it. But that's ONLY if I'm equipped. For me that means lightweight running gloves, a headband that covers my ears so the wind doesn't give me an ear ache, cold weather tights that have strategic patches to keep my quads and hamstrings warm, a long sleeved shirt that wicks the sweat off of me, and a light jacket that breathes while still blocking the wind. And my thicker running socks because my shoes breathe so well that with my thin running socks, my feet will actually get chilly. And a little running hat with a pony tail hole for my hair to stick out of while the hat still fits well.

    :ohwell:
