Day 2--The Value of Exercise and Valentine's Day Plan

The day started well---down about a pound this week! I'm telling you, exercise is where it's at. It allows me to eat more and keep my metabolism up.

To celebrate, I went 88 calories over my plan---oops. Mostly because I took a day off from exercise. It's okay to take an occasional break, but I have to keep in mind that I can't treat myself on the same day that I don't work out.

Still, I won't beat myself up--that only leads to further lapses. That whole emotional eating thing...

Valentine's Dinner on Saturday. Oh dear. How to enjoy and not go overboard? Plan of attack--work out for an hour that day, skip the bread basket and dessert.

I like writing about this in here. Keeps me honest. It's like having witnesses...

    Totally agree with you! Exercise is key for me, too. I love the extra calories.
