A great way to keep on track

This is a bit drastic, but I'm 3 weeks into a 6-week junk food fast and am being sponsored to do it. I made a list of the bad food I eat regularly - chocolate, crisps, cake, cookies, chips - and vowed not to touch any of it for 6 weeks in return for sponsorship (the money is going to a local charity)

I called it 'The C Challenge' as I realised all the bad food begins with the letter C and if I feel like giving in, I just think of the charity and I know I won't slip. The idea is that 6 weeks without junk food will combat my cravings, and so far I''ve raised over £100.

I wanted to share this as if you are really struggling, doing the same may help you - and raise money for a good cause at the same time! Feel free to ask me any questions about it!

A great idea! I also have a charity involved to help keep me motivated!
It's the American Cancer Society's "choose you" pledge. I pledged to lose 34 lbs. in 34 weeks. I weight in every week and any week I didn't lose atleast 1 pound I owe the A.C.S. $3.00. A total of $102.00 is at stake (34 weeks times $3.00 per week). As I am very attached to my money this keeps me motivated!!

heres the link if anyone else is interested- http://www.chooseyou.com
feel free to add me for support if you take the challenge!!
(They have many other challenges as well, such as stopping smoking or getting active)
  • That sounds like a great idea chancie72! Good luck to everyone else doing challenges! x
