I was looking at Wheat flour last night (for making homemade pizza crust mainly), and saw 100% white Wheat flour. Only ingredient is Whole White Wheat Flour - no mention of enriched or bleached or anything else. Is it still as good regular 100% whole wheat?

I was wondering the same idea the other day looking at Smart hamburger buns. They were white but made with whole wheat.

White whole wheat flour IS whole wheat flour; it's just from a different species of wheat. People usually buy that because it has a much less dense texture and lighter flavor. It's good for people (or their kids) who don't like the taste and texture of regular whole wheat flour!

Also, I forgot to add, that white whole wheat flour is great for making cakes, pastries and doughs. It acts more like regular "white" dough and doesn't have that wheaty flavor. I personally love the taste of regular whole wheat, but I know a lot of people who don't!

I really like the white whole wheat flour. It produces a much smoother texture, but still has the same nutrition as 'normal' whole wheat. It's just a different variety of wheat. I used to make everything with half white flour and half whole wheat because straight whole wheat could alter the flavor too much. Not a problem with the white whole wheat.

    Highly recommend it.

I make everything from scratch, including our bread and LOVE LOVE LOVE this flour. I do typically add in a bit of multigrain or other "grainy" flour to some recipe's but using this flour makes things turn out nice and light and not near as dense as typical whole wheat only flour.
    I would highly recommend it!
