Today was my 5th 5k race, five months in a row so far! After completing C25k last summer, I knew the time was right to take the plunge and enter a race. (you can read about each race in my blog, there is an entry in each month) and today's race was definitely a challenge, lots and lots of hills, and even though I train and live at around 6500 feet, the race was in my hometown of over 7000 feet! and I felt the difference. I have managed to take of little incremental bits of time off my PB, but today marked a huge change with a drop down to 25:43! I am hoping the race was really accurately measured to be a true 5k, it was the first year they held it, but they were so careful and organized about the registration, and catching each individual time I have to believe that they took as much care in measuring the distance. whatever. Ill take it, and just wanted to share a little NSV. And also say thanks to all my amazzzzing MFP friends, you guys are what makes the true difference!
