Wow thanks I'm always looking for protein shakes that taste good can't wait to try.0

Now that sounds delicious! I'm going to have to try that tomorrow...but with chocolate protein powder.0
-
I do one very similar.
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup milk
It's delicious and tastes like one of those chocolate covered frozen bananas you can buy at amusement parks!!!0 -
I do one with vanilla protein, FF Frozen yogurt, cinnamon, and applesauce. It's an apple pie shake.0

protein shakes and bananas go hand in hand. I love it0

this one reminds me of a ORANGE Creamsicle:
1 cup OJ
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 banana
2-3 iceubes0 -
Try PB2 instead of Peanut Butter. http://www.bellplantation.com/ They press peanut oil and then sell the dried stuff that's left over from pressing-- it's only 45 cals for two tbs and, fat free, and tastes just like peanut butter. Even my picky boyfriend LOVES it in shakes- you get protein and fiber and it's not "fake peanut butter" like other products. I actually like it mixed with water to a peanut butter consistancy and put on a PB&J, but I can see how someone might gripe that it's "just not the same" in that application because of the mouthfeel. But, in a shake, I dare anyone to tell the difference and you save more than 100 cals for 2 TBS (and who can have just two tbs of the real stuff?)
No, I don't work for the company or anything. I just love the stuff! Don't get the chocolate kind, though, just stick with the plan.
Another shake I love is vanilla protein powder, water or milk, ice, and a half a cup of canned pumpkin- not "pumpkin pie filling" just pumpkin. Add some cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and it tastes just like a pumpkin pie, plus it's got loads of fiber.0 -
Bump - so I can have the recipes later - thanks!0

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I have been trying to find something to replace my much missed Dunkin Donuts Large Iced Coffee with Half Cream and Half Sugar... this may do just the trick0 -
sounds good, I will try that, first I have to ask did you get the protein powder from wal-mart or a health food store and the vanilla soy milk, cinnamon?0

Walmart is probably cheaper. That's where I got mine and it's a soy-based protein. EAS Advantage. Soy milk just store brand-I got mine at Kroger.0 -
I use Body Fortress Whey Protein from Wal-mart. It's affordable and good stuff. I like the whey protein over soy because it's a little more refined and doesn't make me gassy. They have some great shake recipes on their site at www.bodyfortress.com. I've tried just abpout all of them. The Peppermint Patty shake was not good beacuse the amount of peppermint extract that the recipe called for was waaaaaaaaaaaaay too high and made it taste like Listerine!0

I make a simple smoothie by using 1 cup of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze, 1 cup frozen fruit (without added sugar), and one scoop of Vanilla Whey Protein Powder. It's not too sweet and give me fruit and protein as a treat or breakfast. I love using mixed berries or the mango/strawberry combo. If I have bananas I'll had half of one. I have added a 1/4 cup of OJ if it's too thick.0

This has been my favorite for awhile now:
6-8 oz of Dole or Market Pantry Orange/Pineapple/Banana juice (it makes it taste a little more exotic or tropical than just plain OJ)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/4 cup honey flavored (or vanilla or plain) GREEK yogurt
about 1/2 cup to 1 cup (get it from Costco) Wawona Festival blend frozen fruit (mango, pineapple, papaya & strawberry --- I find that frozen fruit is MUCH cheaper, lasts A LOT longer, you have more variety this way & it adds to the consistency)
additional ice cubes as needed.
I haven't made any other types since I concocted up this one. You can add half a banana or any other fruit.
Adding the GREEK yogurt added a bit more protein and made it a lot more filling.0
