His mother is desperately trying to launch a facebook appeal so your help and the coverage would be of a huge help!

Sammy Stanbury age 11. Missing since 4pm Saturday 12th February. Last Seen in Honiton area of Devon. Any Information, Please contact Honiton police with information.

will try and spread the word but not sure how much help I would be in Northern Ireland. If a facebook page is set up maybe you could share the link, will happily share on my own facebook, but at the mo not alot of info to go on.

Unfortunately his mums facebook page is down and understandably she has other things on her mind, so her friends are just trying to spread the word until its broadcast on the news later.
It really does not matter where you live because if everyone spreads the word it may get to someone who knows where he is, but who is not aware he is missing!

Seems kind of strange there are no media reports with that name. No other hits on google except your post. No Amber Alert. Nothing in the Houston Chronicle.

Probably because its in the uk.

I am sorry you think I am some kind of weirdo but I kind of find a missing child anywhere in the world pretty disturbing!

What I find disgusting is that the lad will have been missing for 24 hours before it even breaks the local news! The UK really need to step up the action in cases like this.

I know - scary isn't it. Now he has been found it is on the Coastguard website but still not a thing by the local news!

I have sent around an updated thread that explains that he has been found and the link to the coastguard website with the details for those who obviously think I am so kind of idiot that gets kicks out of reporting that children are missing. Because a few people replied to this link after the update this has gone back to the top,.

I am sorry you do not think a missing child is alarming!

Well there are all sorts of people using this site, there have been people in the past making up crazier things. I believe it's the way you went about it that has people thinking as they do. To put factual info in the original post from the get go might have gotten you a a very different response. People were willing to help but they had no info to go on, not even a Country or much of a description of the boy when you posted this originally. I'm not sure how some could NOT have a bit of doubt over this (as can be seen by other posters on the thread).

The second thread info could perhaps have been added to this one so those of us hearing it originally could have also been relieved the child was found. Instead you left this thread hanging & ran and created another leaving those reading this one in the dark. That is what my point was. I don't believe anyone has called you an idiot, perhaps you feel like one now but it's highly unlikely the members on this site thought so (well I really can only speak for myself). Irresponsible, alarmist, yes, idiot never entered my mind until you brought it up yourself.
