I just filled our beast (Expedition) with 22 gallons for a whopping $97.45 last night. Another reason to hate the truck.

Anybody wanna buy a Durango real cheap? :grumble:

What really stinks is I bought new tires for it and lost another 1 mpg.  :explode: :explode:

So what you're saying is, "Bald is beautiful!"
Thanks so much fatsis! Thanks for the props!

I have an Expy too, and I cringe when I have to go to the gas station. It's ridiculous. I swear I remember when I first got my license, gas only cost about 88 cents a gallon!

My F-250 turbo diesel gets 22-25mpg not bad. But with diesel around 5 bucks a gallon, a 29 gal tank thats 145 bucks roughly to fill it. When Im home I have to commute from down the hill ( Ontario ) to our flight test facility up at edwards AFB which is roughly 100 miles each way:noway:. When I left in April I looked into quicken to make my budget and found out back then I was paying just under 1,000 a month in gas alone, with todays prices Im probably looking at 1300 a month. Luckily for me tthe old lady and i are getting hitched and moving in soon and she only has to drive 1 week a month being she car pools so when i get back im only going to drive my truck to tow and haul, and move except for the one week. I hope to get our gas bill down to 600 a month, well see!

On a brighter side, it gives me more incentive to fly with 100LL ( airplane gas ) around 4 bucks a gallon, you can get there quicker and now cheaper in alot of cases. If I can only plead my case long enough my princess will budge!

I work in Sumner and it's $4.19 at the station I pass by on the way to work. Fortunately for me I don't have a car. I take the Metro bus everywhere.
