I started on this journey October 27th of last year, and I joined MFP in early November. I have lost 32 lbs. and I feel fantastic, but I have lost my motivation to keep going. Any suggestions to help jump-start my progress again? Thank you!!

Well, the fact that you lost 32 lbs should be motivation enough right there to keep going!
  • With Spring coming up, there are numerous activities you could sign up for - run your first 5K or start training for a half marathon - whatever appeals to you. If you think a challenge is too big and that you can't do it, there's your new motivation. It keeps you pushing yourself to the next level. Congrats on the 32 lbs - thats wonderful!
  • well done in losing all that weight , i think the best way is to find a picture of someone whos body you like and stick it on the fridge door , ha ha its helping me and worse thing you could do is give up now x good luck x

Firstly, congratulate yourself. You have made a significant achievement, well done.

Now, looking at your ticker your more than half way there, you're closer to the end than you are to the beginning so don't give up. Just think how great you'll feel in the summer when you've achieved your goal and can wear all the beautiful summer clothes feeling confident and happy.

Set yourself a new challenge with a great reward at the end. Also, you haven't said what you've been doing for workouts but if you've been doing the same thing for a while change your exercise routine.

Stay positive because you can do this, look how far you've already come so far

Set a new goal, either a smaller bikini, a marathon run, or some sort of new goal to attain then focus on it and get heading towards it. Life should be filled with constantly evoloving goals, never hit a peak and then just rest on your laurels, nothing feels so good as topping yourself and pushing yourself further than you ever thought possible.

Nooo !!! You've come sooooo far!!! If you give up now, you could ruin and undo all of your hard work !!! It doesnt take long to gain all that back but it feels like an eternity when you trying to get it off!! Keep that in your head.. you dont want all of your hard work to go in the toilet !

You need to keep on focusing on the big picture! Ask yourself, what drove you in the first place to begin back in November? You need to remember and keep that drive alive! We all have our reasons for wanting to become healthier and fit. Get that motivation back and keep moving forward no matter what. You have come to far to turn back now! Just remember how you felt before you started your healthy eating plan, I guarentee you don't want to feel like that again, not now, not ever! In the end, it all comes down to you, your the only one that can make this happen. Sure, you can get support on MFP which is always a plus but it's all you, you have to want to do this for yourself! Make it a priority and keep moving forward. Set mini goals for yourself as not to lose focus. It can be discouraging at times but just think how great you will feel when you have made it to your ultimate goal. Good luck you can and will do this!
