I have a question. I am a nursing mother and to lose weight without breastfeeding I need to eat 1300 calories but since I am breastfeeding( burning 500 calories) I need to eat 1800 to lose a pound a week. I entered 1800 calories as my daily intake so my question is since the breastfeeding calories is already included in there , I don't enter it in my food intake right? Also since I exercise, I eat my calories that way I don't go under the 1800 mark. Am I doing it right?

You shouldn't try to lose weight if you're breastfeeding. You need an extra 300 calories on top of your maintenance calories, not weight loss calories. If you get less than your body needs you risk losing your milk supply and you risk compromising the quality of your milk.0
