While trying to build muscle in intense high weight low rep workouts is there such thing as to much protein in a diet?

Maybe, but I'm not sure what that amount would be for you. You may want to speak with a nutritionist and/or a weight trainer to get their take on it. You do want to increase the amount of protein you take in when you're working out.0
