"friends" rant

I have decided today that from now on I am not going to put myself out for people that won't inconvenience themselves for me. I had 2 instances today of selfish people.
1) my subordinate that I helped get promoted asked if he could pick my husband up at the airport for me tonight so I wouldnt have to take my daughter out of bed. I told him that would be great, I called and told him the flight would be in at 1030. He said that was not gonna work for him because he really wanted to start drinking by then...but could he come over and get that beer I said he could have that was left over from a party we had (budweiser yuck)
2) a friends boyfriend bought a car from us (2001 Tiburon) for 3500 (under bluebook). They called me Monday at 545 am and told me it wouldnt start. I wanted to say why is that my problem...but I didnt. I gave them the money in case they needed to buy a new battery (they had the car less than a week). I told them have the old one tested and if it was dead go buy a battery, if not husband would look at it when he got home this weekend. They bought a battery, told me it was 92 dollars and I owed them the difference (gave them 60) and that it wasnt even the battery that was the problem. I told them to take it back and that troy would look at it this weekend. They told me today that they had plans both weekend mornings so I would have to schedule it around them. I told them no that I wasnt going to have him come over when it was 100+ degrees out. and that they can wait till the next time he is home if it isnt that important to them...and that this is the only thing we will help them with on it.

The good news is that I want to eat to make it better but I realize that and I know it wont work so I am not going to do that.
