hey everyone,
I'm going on vacation to mexico in 3 days and i'm just wondering if anyone has any tips on trying to eat decently and maintain weight while on vacation. I know from past experience that it is easy to eat poorly when in a different place. Any thoughts? Tips? personal experiences?

Limit your margaritas! :) It's vacation. Have fun. Do a lot of swimming. Jog on the beach. Don't eat EVERYTHING you want. And back on track after you get home.

You could always eat as much as you like and drink the water before you leave :)

Actually you are on vacation so splurg but make it a challenge to yourself to try to eat fruit and salads for two meal and make your days activities fitness based. Hang out at the pool get in some laps.. Play in the surf can be fun do some boggie boarding then take a walk on the beach. Going shopping walk .. then when you have a nice meal at night or during the day you won't feel so bad because it won't be bad. If you download the cardo app for your phone then you can keep track of how far you walk and aid you in recording it.
  • Drink the water, I can guarantee you won't gain any weight.

if you want to lose weight and eat mexican, just do this....
order fajitas (or any meats), don't eat tortillas or chips, rice, cheese, sour cream. Just eat beans, veggeis, all the delicious guacamole you want!! Stick to 2 glasses of Red wine a day, no substitutions on alcohol. you do that, you'll lose weight the WHOLE time. Do not eat ANY fruit, bread, or dairy, drink the coffee black. This works, I just lost 16 pounds in a month doing this.

Tim Ferriss Slow Carb Diet outlined in his book 4 hour body. I can't believe it myself.

here's the full diet info... but if you do it, buy the book, has more info.
