I LOVE cheese, especially with eggs. I used to use white american which is 90 calories a slice. I thought baby swiss was better but instead of checking first, i bought it and ate it this morning. But its still 90 calories a slice!~!~! Is it any healthier????

It's not magically better for you because it's swiss cheese. A lot of swiss cheese will have less calories than american/cheddar, but if yours has the same number of calories, then it's not any better.

It depends on your criteria for healthy. From a basic nuttritional view point "healthy" is all in the numbers. If you want to look beyond that then you may want to consider how the milk and cheese is produced. There are those who would argue that cheese made "naturally" from cows fed soley on grass is more healthy than cheese made in a factory from cows fed on chemically enhance artificial feed. YOu pay your money and you take your choice.

Bearing in mind that any chemicals a human mother ingests are passed on to her child through her milk, the same would apply to cow milk and cheese so produced I would imagine.

Swiss Cheese has more holes in it, and therefore must be healthier as air has no calories.

This works if you only eat the holes.

gram for gram - no difference.

there is more to cheese than calories. protein values, for one.

even if the calories are the same, swiss cheese is 'healthier' than white american because the process for making it is different. read this:
