Know how many cals I have burned? My husband wont let me buy a HRM because I am an impulse buyer hahaha I know I would use it but he doesnt believe me and won't let me get one. So how do I check what all of that is.. I dont even have a watch so that will be impossible eh? Maybe I should just buy one and say "Whoa who is this from?" hahaha

  • lol, my husband said the same thing. what the heck. i'd go fo the "oops" approach if i was you. whats that they always say? "its easier to ask for forgiveness than to get permission..." something like that, lol. i just told my husband that it would end up making him happier in the long run, haha. :) good luck!

would seriously recommend getting a hr monitor. i use almost daily the precor elliptical trainer. thought that 45 min burned 350 cal because that's what the machine said (and yes, i enter my weight and age). just got a polar hr monitor, and it turns out that i was only burning 240 calories! those extra 110 calories may explain why my weight loss isn't as quick as i'd like. since i usually work out 7 days a week, we're talking an almost 800 cal/wk difference!

Ask him if he'd be willing to exercise with you, and get matching HRM's :)

Tell him " Stell Dich nicht so an!"

I thought that was last century that husbands do or do not allow their wifes to do things or not?

It's way toooo early here to read the boards, and taking a few minutes to figure out why I can't understand what's being said--then realize it's because it's German!

you have a powerful weapon in your arsenal Carrie!
It's called denial of sex, then you have a secondary one
called guilt. Use em. They work!
