Got another 18 that will hit expiration in a week. Gonna revisit another time in my life and drink my breakfast.

Eggs are good past the expiration date and those "older" eggs are actually the ones that are best to boil - they peel easier.

I tried the Baking Soda in the water trick over the weekend. They were also old. They practically felt out of the shells.

I think I am the poster boy for eggs lol, I eat 1 whole egg with 2 egg whites and 2 slices of butterball turkey bacon for breakfast every day. Eggs are one of my fav things, I just love them lol. I go through on average a dozen a week or more.

What the heck is the baking soda in the water trick? Is it bad that I never even look at the carton expiration date??? :-O

My question is,,,,,, How can you let them beauties sit in the fridge that long? :)

They were 5 dozen for $5 with 4 weeks till expiration and I had 1.5 dozen in the fridge already.

The baking soda changes the water Ph and lessens adherence to the shell.

OK that is the coolest thing I've seen all day, maybe all year. So you put baking soda in the water as you boil the egg and then you can blow the egg out of it's shell? Cool beans

Haven't been able to blow one out yet but they did peel effortlessly.
