Good morning,
I know how hard it is to run with children. But the good news is that it really helps with endurance and those legs are gonna feel nice!! Good luck!!
Ali, good luck on your 5k. You will beat them!!
Well, I'm really excited. I did a 10k this morning and I ran it in 1hr 08 minutes!!! This is my fastest ever!!
Not even 2 months ago when we started the running club, it was taking me more than 1hr 22. My goal was to shave off 10 minutes by July and I have met my goal early!!!!
My motivation for running a 10k this morning was so I could have a Nonfat Vanilla latte from starbucks.
I'm really, really happy!! :drinker:
:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:0 -
WOOOHOOO!!!!
Happy Saturday everybody!
Mireille! :noway: Way to go, girl! I'm totally impressed. You deserve that latte. (What time are you gonna get yours? Just let me know and I'll be along....I rather enjoy the raspberry skinny lattes..... ) Enjoy!
GL to both of the Ali's! The weather is nice out here and we haven't decided what we're gonna do. We may take our girlies on a bike ride this morning.
Make it a good one everybody!

I'm alive!
I'm awake!
And I feel great!
<everybody>
I'm alive!
I'm awake!
And I feel great!
Say this until you mean it.:drinker:
This mantra got me through 8 miles this morning. Plus, I now have a new pr for those 8 miles, 1:22:45. That's a 10:23 minute mile pace.
Enjoy the day

Hey all!
Kechie, I like your mantra a lot better than mine: I'm not gonna die, I just feel like it! WOW! 8miles? You rock!
I just finished some intervals on the treadmill. I ran 3 miles in 27:50. NO! Not 28 minutes!
For those of you with a HRM, I have a question. After my workout, I'm always rushing to input my calories into my exercise log, but I always calculate my BMR out of my calories burned. So, my question is: do you do that? Do we even need to? What's your take on the situation? We had this discussion some time ago (I know Banks and Songbyrdsweet was in on it), but I just wanted to know what you guys thought.
Thanks.

DANG you ladies inspire!!!!!! :smooched:
Good job ali, Mireille, Pam & Kechie!!! Ya'll are kicking booty!!!
Let us know how your 5k went alimassa - I betcha you kicked some young'uns behinds!!
Dropped my daughter & FIL off at the airport this morning. She's going to KY for a week, the longest I've ever been apart from her.
So today's my Cinderella day getting junk done around the house. :indifferent: I'm planning on waking up early tomorrow & putting some miles in.
Have a great weekend, ya'll!!0 -
Way to go everyone! Great to hear how well you're doing!
Shannon, your day sounds great to me. I never get a whole day to just GET JUNK DONE around the house. And my house has lots of junk that needs done...
I ran 10 miles this morning! Yay me! I've been trying to run a 10-miler for two weekends now and have stopped just short for one reason or another. Last weekend I didn't bring any water and was getting dehydrated (dumb), and the weekend before I got stuck in a hailstorm. But I was determined this am and I DID IT! It took me 1:44.
Keep rockin' the running!

Way to go runners!
I am not running today. I had class this morning and now we are off to my wife's 35 year high school reunion.
Shannon, are you still planning a 9 miler this weekend. If so, I will plan one too. It will be just like running together without the stimulating conversation or accountability. Otherwise...just the same. And alone, neither one of us will have to worry about our running partner smelling like the one in your race last week... Okay maybe I will.
Keep up the great work and thanks for the help!!0 -

How was your daughter's b/day party?0 -
Hi everybody,
My husband and I just got back from our long run. It was twelve miles. We went to a golf course nearby that has a two-mile-long fitness trail around it. It's a pretty place to run with lots of trees and a soft course. It's a great place to do our long runs because of the soft trail and also there's drinking fountains and porta-potties right there in case you need them, so you don't have to carry water. The trail has some hills so it was a challenge. It took me 139 minutes to run the twelve miles, so that's a bit over 11 and a half minute miles. According to the training schedule I was supposed to run a little slower than my normal pace, and that was easy to do because of all the hills. My husband and I don't run together because he's a lot faster than me, but it's still nice to have somebody to go over there and back with. According to my HRM I burned 1500 extra calories today, so I'm happy about that.
Great job today everyone! Kechie, you are awesome! Have a happy weekend.0 -

We had a blast! I added a picture of me coming down the waterslide to my profile. It looks like I was injured but I wasn't. It is hard to tell what you are looking at but it is the bottom of both of my feet.:ohwell:0 -
