Hello,
I joined MFP about one month ago and I have enjoyed it so far.
I'm a 40 year old male and I am trying to lose 10lbs by April for a statewide contest called "Scale Back Alabama"
I have been logging in daily to keep up with my calories and my exercising and I have already lost 5lbs.
So I have a question and I'm about to show how little I know about dieting and trying to lose weight.
Within the last week I have noticed when I complete one of my days, listing my food/calories and what exercising I have done, MFP has started telling me if I keep doing what I did that day my weight will increase and not just a little but quite a lot. At first I thought I had been entering my data wrong but after double and triple checking it is correct and I keep getting the same message.
So what am I doing wrong?? Are there changes I need to make to my diet that I am not aware of??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jamey

DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON BUT IF YOU OPEN YOU FOOD LOG IT MIGHT HELP US FIND OUT0

Are you staying under the recommended calories per day? They should be green towards the bottom if you're meeting your goal, and they'll be red if you're over your goal. Once you hit the button that you're done for the day, it will show you what you'll weigh in 5 weeks if every day is exactly like the current day. If you allow others to see your food diary, maybe we could give you more specifics..... Good luck on your weight loss!0

Jamey, you may need to go into your settings and adjust your info accurately. If I remember correctly it gives you an estimate of how many calories you should be eating...may be in tools. You can also google search to find out how many calories you should be eating. Make sure they are good calories, not crap calories that are under your goal. Good luck. Congrats on the 5 LB's by the way.0

OK so I went in to my settings and changed my food log to public.
While I was in there I was looking at my profile and somehow I manged to up my original weight my about 50lbs. I'm not sure how I did that but I reset it back to what I weighed when I started using MFP.0
