I am really confused about the nutritional facts for Outback Ahi Tuna Appetrizer. On MFP the calories are MUCH higher than if you google it. I can't imagine that tuna would 400+ calories. Do you think it may include all of the two dipping sauces.

Does anyone know how to find out the real facts?

I ate it tonight but just dipped my fork into the sauces instead of dipping the tuna so I ate very little sauce.

Yes, if you aren't sure, always go to the restaurant's site and look at their nutritional information. Remember that the MFP database is user entered so while most of it is accurate, sometimes someone may enter something incorrectly or differently or it may be out of date. :)

I always go to the actual restaurant website to get the facts! Usually that doesn't include the dipping sauces.

I think it depends on how big it was. Ahi has about 30 calories per ounce. Their website says it serves 2, so i'm thinking it very well could be without the sauces. But just guessing.

Also, i'm thinking the sauces would make the sodium a lot higher, since the Ahi itself had a rub on it.

Thanks everyone! Just thought that the Tuna was the healthiest choice but wow it sure had alot of calories, fat and sodium.

I did come home and ride my bike for an hour so I feel a little better about it.

I know this is a little bit late but I was looking for the answer to this myself and yes, the calorie amount INCLUDES the sauces. The pdf menu below says the "Nutritional figures represent complete menu item with side or sauce as printed." for that particular menu item.
