Cake, Anyone?

I was so excited to try the infamous "brownie mix with black beans" recipe. So I went to the pantry... only to find out I have no brownie mix. Would the black bean idea work the same for a cake mix??

    black beans and cake mix sounds really gross. But that's just me.

    Well, that's what I thought about brownies and black beans. But so many people on here swear by that recipe - in order to enjoy brownies without the guilt. So I'm wondering if the same concept can be applied to cake mix? Or would it not give the correct consistency? Anyone?
