I have been doing my workout dvds with hand weights and walking with leg weights. Am i burning more calories with the weights and if so how much more?

For arms it depends on the weight and the amplitude of your arm movements.
For the legs it doesn't mean much.
Overall the effect is most likely trivial and not worth the potential compromises in form. You would be better off just walking faster.0 -

adding weights do give you more intensity forsure but when it comes to how many calories burn depends! everyone burns more or less. The only way to know is to invest in a HRM with a chest strap. It took me a year to finally invest in one but it really made me realize how many I was actually burning.0
